Chippewa National Forest ASCC Site in the Washington Post

The Washington Post featured ASCC Network climate change specialists and the Cutfoot Experimental Forest ASCC site on the Chippewa National Forest in an article titled "Scientists are trying to save Minnesota's North Woods forest from climate change." 

The article covers the climate challenges and climate adaptation solutions for Minnesota's forests, and the climate change specialists and managers working to find creative ways to help Minnesota's forests adapt to changing conditions. Key ASCC Network partners featured in the article include Dr. Chris Swanston, Director of the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS) and ASCC Network Principal Investigator; Stephen Handler, NIACS Climate Change Specialist and ASCC partner in the Northwoods; and Dr. Brian Palik, Research Ecologist with the USDA Forest Service Northern Research Station and site lead for the Cutfoot Experimental Forest ASCC site.
